Council prides itself on executing events to a high standard which foster social cohesion and provide the community the opportunity to create memories filled with engaging entertainment reflective of our local talent and culture.
We are continuing to invest efforts into activating public spaces in our local government area by introducing new events such as the Strathfield Festival which proved to be a great success and an upcoming event, Homebush Vibes.
With recent setbacks caused by venue issues, Council has made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Spring Festival and will go out to community consultation to receive firsthand feedback on how to improve and shape next year’s Spring Festival.
Whilst it was not an easy decision to make, we look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas which will help shape our much-loved family festival. A survey presenting ideas for the future of Spring Festival will be made available in due course.

HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2022
Wackadoo! Bluey and her little sister Bingo are heading to the Strathfield Spring Festival on Saturday 3 September – For real life!
Following the live interactive experience, there will be 3 opportunities to meet Bluey and Bingo. Limited spots available per ‘Meet and Greet’ session and tickets are essential. Bookings will open at 10am on Tuesday 23 August on this webpage!
Please take note of the following items before finalising your registration for a Bluey and Bingo Meet and Greet session:
– Tickets meet and greet session is valid only for the allocation session you have selected. If you are unable to make it to your allocated session on the day, you will not be able to present your ticket for another meet and greet session.
– We advise parents and caregivers to arrive early to allow enough time to take pictures and avoid missing out on their allocated session.
– Bring proof of your ticket on the day. A ticket will be issued to your supplied email address prior to the event.
– Duplicated tickets will not be accepted.
– Ensure you listen to the direction of staff on the day to facilitate a safe, timely and seamless process.

Second hand market stall applications are now closed.
There will be 30 second hand market stalls at the Strathfield Spring Festival selling pre-loved clothes, homewares, books, trinkets and more!
Need help repairing a special piece of clothing but not sure where to start? Attend this Free Clothing Repair Cafe to receive advice and assistance from skilled repairers. No experience necessary.
Kate and Rachel will work with 12 attendees throughout the 2hr session from 10am to 12pm. The Clothing Repair Cafe will be located on the synthetic field by the second hand market stalls.
Looking for a bit of excitement for the day? Hop on some amusement rides and carnival games to keep you entertained!
You don’t need to head over to a stable on Saturday 3 September, we’ll have ponies at the Spring Festival so you get to experience a pony ride around our much loved park.

Getting to the Strathfield Spring Festival
Strathfield Spring Festival is held at Strathfield Park on the natural grass field on Chalmers Road.
Public Transport
The nearest train station is Strathfield. Buses operate along Homebush Road (Route 480).

Strathfield Connector
Hop on the Strathfield Connector! With two stops on Homebush Road right next to Strathfield Park, it’s the easiest way to get to the park. The first stop is near Augusta St and the second is near Gelling Avenue.

Cycling
Ditch the car and ride your bicycle!
Strathfield Park is less than 1km from the Bay to Bay Cycleway. Please see the map for the detour from the Cycleway to the Park.
Strathfield Council will operate a free return shuttle bus on a continuous loop between Strathfield Station and Strathfield Park during the Spring Festival from 10am – 5pm. The bus will arrive approximately every 20 minutes at each location. No bookings or fares are required.
Pick up/drop-off locations:
- Strathfield Station – in the STA bus zone, 10am – 4.30pm
- Strathfield Park – Homebush Road, 10am – 5pm
Look for the Strathfield Spring Festival SHUTTLE BUS HERE signs.
Limited street parking is available in the streets surrounding Strathfield Park off Homebush Road, Chalmers Road, Gelling Avenue and Augusta Street.
Festival visitors are recommended to catch the train to Strathfield and utilise the express shuttle bus and locals to walk or ride to the park.
Strathfield Park is accessible from many directions, including along the roads, Homebush Road and Chalmers Road.
Pathways
Strathfield Park has cemented pathways throughout the park, leading to all facilities. Each synthetic grass field also has a pathway all around their borders. The pathways are suitable for prams, wheelchairs and other devices to assist with movement.
Accessible Parking
Disabled parking spaces are available along the park boundary on Chalmers Road.
Accessible Bathrooms
Accessible bathrooms are located in all three of the amenities buildings on site.
Changing Facilities
Changing facilities are located in all three of the amenities buildings on site.
Food and Drinks
There is a kiosk on the Homebush Road side of the park, near the playground, where food and drinks can be purchased. Other food and drink options will be on site as part of the event.
Council staff are on hand during events to assist visitors.
